Nothing much to report. We had a bit of a storm last night, so since then it’s been nice and cool, a welcome break from the summer heat. Last night I waved a tearful goodbye to Kamal Krishna Prabhu, one of my main lead singers, as he left by train to Vrindavan Dham, in Matura, Northern India, with his new wife. He’ll be back in a year, and I may visit him there soon, but still, a good man and an important part of our recording talent has gone to the sweet sacred land of Vrindavan and left us here in the not so sweet or sacred Kolkata!
What else… well I had a kewl video conference with Will Slack this morning, a good friend of mine from High School. He’s playing politics with the big boys over on the East Coast, and sounds like he’s doing well there, doing good deeds, and doin’ ‘em dirt cheap! Talking to him reminds me that I haven’t spoken hardly at all with, oh, anyone else back in that far off distant planet known as America. I’ve got a backpack load of excuses why if anyone asks me, but still, I need to be in better touch. I’ll add that to do my do list in slot 142,897. OK so back to work, it’s a hard life for a audiophile living in India, trying to collect drops of vibratory nectar without getting runover by a MACK truck or a water buffalo, the two main street forces to deal with here. (Yes, literally a MACK truck. Now I see where that expression came from, they’re like giant blocks of steel with wheels under them.) Aight, I love everyone as always. I’ll post more when I get a chance.
